| This book could have a happy ending instead of a cliffhanger and it would have been the perfect novella. It could have really worked as a stand-alone novel if you ask me and I was not a fan of the ending so you can see why (irrationally) I wanted the story to end with this book. Bennett and Veronica were the kind of couple I am rooting for and I liked them together as a couple. They had some cute and some hot moments and I liked the way their relationship was progressing. Everything was doing great until Bennett got a phone call and he started acting like a douche and things went downhill. We read a few flash forwards where we see how Veronica moved on with her life and then we get Bennett's point of view which is rare since this story is mostly told from her point of view and we find out why he broke up with her 5(?) years ago. I was not expecting that and I hope that it will be resolved early in the main book. Also, I want to see Veronica getting rid of the pet before we hit the 50% mark on Love Hurts. |
