Taming My Whiskey is one of Melissa Foster's most anticipated books. Dixie was a secondary character so far, but she was also one of the most interesting characters we ever saw from MF. The book is listed as the 6th one in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series and it can be read as stand-alone.
My expectations for this book were higher than the highest building in the world. Dixie was always portraited as this bad arsed lady and I believed that she needed a special man to be able to handle her. Jace is a good man for her even though sometimes I found their romance lacking. He could have done a better job to win Dixie. Even after finishing the book I feel like something didn't click in the right way for me and it puzzles me a little. Maybe my problem wasn't with Jace, but with DIxie. Sometimes I felt like she was a different person from the one I thought I knew and I can't blame it on the author, but I also can't help but feel like that.
Still, the things I mentioned above were not enough to taint my reading experience. The book was easy to read and I wanted to see how Jace and Dixie would get their happy ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and I would recommend this one.
