I would have loved the book if we didn't get the same overused explanation for the reason why the hero is a manwhore. I was expecting something deep and not so common especially after Heather said that Cole had a very good reason for being one. In my opinion, he just wanted to get his Johnie wet. I was a huge fan of Addison for calling him on this manwhoring ways and for resisting him, even if it didn't last.
In the first chapter Cole sleeps with a woman who has a pet and also manages to get her as a client. He worked on both deals at the same time. I felt like read Misadventures with a book boyfriend all over again and it was not good. In the same chapter aka chapter one, he promises to another woman a round between the sheets after he walks her dog and it made me wonder what exactly his services were. He met the heroine after that promise, so I have no idea if something happened. After some time since their first meeting, he said that he went bar shopping for women in order to get Addison out of his mind but it didn't work, so I am not sure if he slept with them or not.
I was expecting more from A.J. Alexander because I had read her Seal'ed series and I mostly loved those books, but this one was a miss for me. Cole's character was not to my liking.
PS Heather and Wyatt seemed to have an interesting story
