Review:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Out of the 3 books I got from the series to review, Nothing without you was my least favorite (Crazy Imperfect Love by K.L. Grayson was the best for me with Worth Fighting For by Laura Kaye coming second). Recently, I got a lot of books (certainly more than I would like) where the hero is the one who has slept with half the town, while the heroine has very limited experience and this book was the cherry on the top. At least it was short and they brought that up no more than 5 times. I told you all that in order to understand why I didn't give more stars to the book.

I actually like Maisie and I would like to see more of her in the main series. She was someone I could relate to and she was on my good graces since she stood up for herself. Tucker was not my kind of hero. I didn't understand why he broke things off with Maisie in the first place and even, later on, I couldn't see him as someone who redeemed himself. Or as the hero of the story. I am sorry, but he just didn't click for me.

Overall, the novella wasn't bad. I just think that I read it at the wrong time.

P.S. Lady Sussana and her man appear! That was the highlight of the book.
