Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Want to know what is cruel? That cliffhanger at the end of the book. That epilogue in general. Me worrying about what will happen in book two. Me worrying that we will have a love triangle in the second installment. April 2019 which seems so far away. Why isn't  April after January? Why do I have to wait?

To help you understand my pain, I will say that I read this book in one sitting because I couldn't stop reading. I was telling myself to stop because I needed to attend some pressing matters, but like a junkie, I kept coming back for more. I kept saying, one more chapter, one more chapter and then the book ended. And I was like, one more book, one more book. My gut was telling me to not read the book and now I know why. It was addicting. And I wish I was saying that because I got an ARC, but that's not the case. I haven't been drawn  into a book like this, for quite some time.

Now, I am left wondering what will happen next and what the characters will do in book 2.  I want to say so much more, but unfortunately, I can't. What I can say is that I wish for more of Penn's point of view in the upcoming books.  The book has 40 chapters and only 5 of them are told from his point of view. That makes me worry.

I don't know if this can be considered a spoiler, but I think that Lewis is gonna make a play for Natalie's heart and try to win her from Penn. I fell for him in this book and wanted to read his story. He is the best person from the group. Nothing is certain after everything that went down in this book. Every time I think of the story I get a "Cruel Intentions" vibe and it fits with the story. The book has a certain vibe that I can't describe, but in a good way, that makes it different from most of the other books I have read so far.

P.S Can book 3 be about someone else's story? Like Lark for example.

P.S.S. This book has me so twisted up that I have begun making theories. Could Lark have something to do with everything that happened? And I don't mean about the bet. Am I being paranoid? I need books 2 and 3 ASAP.
