About The First Rule of Hook-Ups:
Someone once told me that there are worst things than being left at the altar. Well, not many, in my experience. That was six months ago, though, and my life has moved on. Heck, I have a new job lined up and I'm leaving town. But, I can't deny that my love life kind of sucks. That’s why I let my friends convince me to join them for Club Escapade’s Breakup Bash. And we might just be disillusioned enough to actually enjoy it. Last time we were here, it was for my bachelorette party. That night, I met one of the dancers – Raphael – and when he flirted with me, I almost forgot I was engaged. And there's a part of me that never forgot him. Now, it seems my friends have wandered off and I’m thinking about calling it a night. Until the music begins and I see Raphael, my secret fantasy, on stage. And this time, I’m definitely not engaged...Get Your Copy Today:

I have been trying to find some words to describe my feelings for this book and I can't find any. The book is a big Meh for me and I think that it's like a one-night stand. Fun at the time and both of us will go on our merry way after everything is done. It didn't have a wow factor, but it also wasn't bad, which made me feel stuck in the middle. The author is a hit or miss for me and this one was closer to the miss. The main characters have a lot of hang-ups, especially the hero. He could have gone to a specialist and talk about his problems in my opinion. His past relationship did a work on him and it showed many times in the story. Alexa was, for the most part, a good character. I liked that stood up for herself and didn't allow any man to pressure her. I couldn't exactly relate to her, but I liked that she stood up to people instead of hiding. The premise of the book was good and I was liking Alexa and Rafe together, but something never clicked for me. I will remain neutral on the book's recommendation.
