I should have read the first book in the series before beginning this one. I felt like I would have a better connection with the series if I had picked up the first book. Each book focuses on a different couple, but the main plot is the same and I wished I had known sooner what was going on. You will allow me to use a horrible pun and say that I was bewitched and now I want to know more about the series and Alice the ghost. I will keep an eye on the third book because things are very interesting and I want to see what direction the investigation is going to take.
I wish I could say much about the main couple, but the book was too short for them to have a grand romance. Sam was a good character and she had a certain charm. She went for the guy and that got her points in my book. Tate is not in the picture as much as I would have liked him to be and I don't feel like I got to know him much. He was a nice man and he has family secrets that haunt him and prevent him from entering a relationship with Sam. You will find out more about that when you read the book.
The story was cute and I liked it. This world seemed interesting and I hope I will get a chance to explore it more. I would recommend the book, but I would suggest to picking book 1 first.
