The biggest story of her life is the one he wants to hide. I’m homeless by choice. I have no intention of returning to my former life after what I’ve done. This—living among the filth and discarded remnants of others—is what I deserve. As atonement for my sins, I give back; I help those who cannot help themselves. But it’s always under the guise of anonymity. Newspaper headlines throughout the city are clamoring to discover my identity. Including the beautiful woman who manages to see through my “armor.” She has the capability to put my entire life at risk.

Review:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

"Sometimes we lose our way. Sometimes we have to lose everything in order to find the good in ourselves. To rediscover faith not only in oneself but also in humanity"

When I first began reading the book I thought I was going to read another book about someone losing their way after some tragic event and slowly finding it again. It wouldn't be something special and be just another book I got to read. A part of that statement was true because Jude does find his path again, but the book made an impact on me. Many will say "WTF are you reading romance books? They offer you nothing", but that ain't true. Reading this story made me want to be a better person who offers more to the people in need. It made me wish that there were more people like Jude out there doing something to help and prove that the world we live in is not cold and heartless. The book made me feel and I cried like a baby in the middle of the night while I was finishing the story. I will give it a spot in my favorite books of the year because it was inspiring. Faith's article broke my heart and was the first thing that made me shed tears. The good Samaritan is a must read.
