Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite genres and this book did it justice. There was some friction before Drake and Serena decided to finally admit their feelings for each other and I was expecting that, so I can safely say that everything was ok with this book. I didn't like the argument they had in the final chapters because to me it seemed out of place, but it didn't last long and it wasn't a source of drama, so I was not overly unhappy with that part. It could have been worse. Serena and Drake got invested in their new relationship and they fought to stay together despite the distance and everything else that was going on in their lives. They made their relationship seem easy when we know that is not. I wanted them together from the first time we met them and their story was everything I expected it to be.
I was a little worried about Serena and Gavin when he first came into the picture, but I should have known that Melissa Foster wouldn't disappoint me like that. Now Gavin is in my mind one of the people whose story I want to read. Could he possibly be Violet's guy? There is no mention of who is going to be her guy and that doesn't sit well with me. I wanna know right this second who is going to capture her heart since Violet is one of my favorite people so far and is hilarious. Abby was also introduced and I liked her enough to want to see her again. Maybe we will get her story because she was mentioned enough times and she seemed like a good person.
