Release Day: August 26th, 2014

BOOK SUMMARY:

It’s Time To Meet A New Kind Of Hero...

Dante Stark has a dark secret--a legacy left to him by his father which is both a blessing and a curse. A traumatic experience as a small boy gave him special powers of healing, but it comes with a price. Destined to wander the world alone to heal others, he's accepted his fate. Until Selina Rogers forces him to confront his deepest fears, erotic desires, and question his capacity to love.

Selina Rogers has made a name for herself at Inferno Enterprises. She's tough, confident and prepared to succeed. She's also built a world she believes is safe, until she's attacked and then saved by a masked stranger. As he helps her heal physically and emotionally, she becomes fascinated by his overwhelming power and gentle touch. Determined to show Dante the love he's been denying himself, Selina surrenders her heart, and dreams of a future with the mysterious man who completes her.

But will his dark legacy destroy them...or save them both...

 Secrets Revealed

Me: I have the cast of Dante’s Fire here to answer some questions. Many readers seemed to want more in the book, a bit more story to flesh out. I’m hoping to give you more in the next one, but I also think Dante stands on its own. A shorter read, yes. But just as powerful, with a bit of a twist that makes it different and offers a fresher perspective on conflict.
Let’s start with you, Dante. Tell me a bit about your powers and your childhood.
Dante: I had the power of fire from a young child, given to me by my father. My mother was human. My father was also, but he had a special gift. Ever read Firestarter by Stephen King? Yeah, well that was more of a horror type/suspense, but I have an ability to create fire, which is linked to my emotions.
I was taught young how to control it, with strict lessons by my parents. But when my mother was assaulted, my true purpose was revealed. I was continuously told I’d serve a higher power, but I never really thought past it.
My gift evolved until I was able to travel to the actual scene of an assault. Using fire, I burn the assaulters with a symbol, sort of like a tattoo. They are unable to hurt any other women after this, or the symbol flares into full fire and burns them alive.

Me: Hmm, quite satisfying. I really wish you were more than my creation in my head. Thank you my wonderful, sexy hero. Now, on to your match. Selina Rogers, you really fell in love with two men, didn’t you? Of course they ended up being the same man, but what were the main qualities in each you were attracted to?
Selina: Daniel the mailman was my friend. Never underestimate the power that trust and respect gives a woman. Sure, we’ll all about sexy alpha males, but when we feel safe, we can open our heart in ways that just sex can’t give us. With Daniel, our conversations made me happy. There was little wonderful hum of sexual electricity that made everything better.
Then with Dante, he reached into my broken soul and healed me. He was fierce, and tender, and tortured. He made me want to help him just as much as he was helping me. And he eventually turned that emotion into the physical, where my body burned just for his touch.

Me: Thanks Selina. Makes perfect sense. Finally, let’s ask Chase a few questions since we didn’t get the background of him in Dante’s Fire. Tell us a little about your past.
Chase: Crap, I wasn’t born with any special gifts, my parents were never assaulted or killed, and I wasn’t raised in foster care. I’m kind of...normal. Parents still together. No other siblings. The only thing I can say is I wanted more in my life than my parents ever did. They were simple, both teachers, average salary, house, and life. There was little excitement or drama. How wrong is it of me to want so much more? I craved the city, meeting new people, power, money, travel. It couldn’t relate to being average.
I also had a huge sexual appetite, even at a young age.
So there you go. Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s who I am.

Me: Thank you, Chase, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Thanks for the interview and thanks to the readers who have already read and loved Dante’s Fire. I hope you give it a try if you haven’t’ read it yet!

Review:

I don't know why but it's always hard for me to write a review for a book in the series despite the fact that I love the books. Marz is my favorite guy, even though all of them are great. I think the author made very obvious which is going to be the couple in the fourth novel in the series. If I want to be one hundred per cent honest I will have to admit two things.

One, I want the series to end and at the same time I don't want to. I am dying to know what really happened and who is behind everything, but I love the series so I will be sad to see it end and I don't want to.
All the guys are great and I want to see them getting what they deserve as well as their happy ending. One full length novel is on the works and two novellas are coming, so I will have plenty of time with the guys and their gals.

What I like in the series is that the girls have guts and aren't running scared with every bad thing that happens.

Two, I want a M/M book in the series, but I think that won't happen. I just got this feeling while I was reading the story. Also I think (though it's completely silly and it has zero chance of been truth) that someone who dies in this book isn't dead and he is faking it. Maybe I am hoping that if he is alive he will be the big villain or that he will find redemption.

Review:

I wish I had read the previous books before i started reading this. I have a feeling I would have been more "comfortable" with this book. It saddened me that I hadn't read the other books because Nat and Ash and Tina and Nick seemed great and I wanted to see how they got their happy endings.

I felt at least in the beginning more outsider than I usually feel when I start a new book. The bond between Nat and Helena is unmistakable, but it took me a while to get used to the way they were expressing their love for each other.

Max and Ceecee were very cute as a father and daughter. I would have loved to see them in more a father and daughter moments.

As for Max and Helena I am not sure how I feel about them. Heck I am not sure if they knew how they felt most of the time. Max was saying things like "you are my girlfriend" and "this is forever" and later he was getting cold feet. Helena gave off the same vibe as Max did which is the I-want-a-relationship-with-him/her-but-at-the-same-time-I-don't-want-to. I think they were more confused than I was

Excerpt

“Call me Enzo.”

I turned to look at him and his eyes fell to my lips. “It’s not respectful to address a Packmaster so informally.”

He pinched his chin thoughtfully. “Only business associates call me Church.”

“Then I’ll call you Lorenzo.”

Lorenzo reached over and gently tugged the end of my braid. “Is something wrong with Enzo?”

“Do you want to be compared to a flashy piece of machinery that’s fast, loud, and unattainable?”

He put his hands back on the wheel and throttled the engine. “I can be compared to anything with stamina.”

“Mechanical things require too much attention to keep going on their own. How much attention do you require?”

“Sweet Ivy, what a wicked tongue you have.”

The Seven Series

About the Author

This is the segment where you learn a little more about who I am, so here's what I can tell you:  I drink copious amounts of vitamin water placed precariously close to my laptop while writing. These are two healthy habits I have no intention of breaking. I'm a transplant living in the south, but I was born in the 70's to a military dad who moved us around the world.

When I'm not writing (which is all the time), I'm hunting down Indie music, watching movies, reading, eating Tex-Mex, discovering new ways to humiliate myself bowling, and burning up my laptop battery on the Internet. I have a relaxed, easy-going personality and don't like drama. I live with a cat who thinks she is a dog, or a goat (she eats plastic, so I'm not sure which).

Throughout my life, I've had insomnia. Counting sheep never worked and eventually I would imagine those sheep were the sole source of food after an apocalyptic battle where only thousands survived. I made up stories in a futile attempt to bore myself to sleep. The problem was, I got so wrapped up in my "head stories" that I would continue them through the following nights, changing it up each time to make it more exciting. Eventually, I started writing my ideas down - creating short stories, and then I discovered my love for poetry.

It's almost embarrassing how many spiral notebooks and stacks of paper I have of poetry and lyrics.

Another passion: digital art. I design all my book covers, marketing, and series art. I'm a very visual person and pursued photography as an avid hobby for many years.

I am not a YA author (I feel like I have to state this only because I've had a few people ask), but I think it's wonderful there are so many books available to teens in Urban Fantasy and Paranormal.

I am finally doing what I have always wanted to do: giving my characters a pulse through writing full time. I focus on adult urban fantasy romance, but I don't like labels and I enjoy blending genres to break out of the confines of predictability.

But it's what I love to do.
