Complete Me (Stark Trilogy #3) by J. Kenner

Rating 5+/5 stars
Pub. Date July 30 2013

Blurb:

This sexy, emotionally charged romance continues the story of Damien Stark, the powerful multimillionaire who’s never had to take “no” for an answer, and Nikki Fairchild, the Southern belle who only says “yes” on her own terms.

Our desire runs deep. But our secrets cut close. Beautiful, strong, and commanding, Damien Stark fills a void in me that no other man can touch. His fierce cravings push me beyond the brink of bliss—and unleash a wild passion that utterly consumes us both.

Yet beneath his need for dominance, he carries the wounds of a painful past. Haunted by a legacy of dark secrets and broken trust, he seeks release in our shared ecstasy, the  heat between us burning stronger each day.

Our attraction is undeniable, our obsession inevitable. Yet not even Damien can run from his ghosts, or shield us from the dangers yet to come.

Complete Me is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences

Review:

*The review seems to me like it's for this book and the trilogy (2 in 1 kind of)*

Don't expect from this review anything you haven't read before. You won't read anything except praise for Complete me. Because J. Kenner is one of the few authors that wrote a trilogy and all the three books were amazing. Nothing in the book felt too much or over the top.

It had many sex scenes but I could only call them hot and nothing bad. It is not smut though it's erotica and there is a difference. I keep thinking how is it possible not to like the books? Damien is a mix of Christian, Gideon and every other hot, possessive man you can think without him being a copy of anyone else. Nikki is a strong person and fights for what she loves. She broke a little but with everything that was going around I found it normal and I felt sorry for her. First her boyfriend is about to go on trial and maybe to jail and later there is a stalker who sends her photos of her and throws rocks on her window.. And let's be honest another person with her history might have said that he/she can take it any more and leave. But she stayed and helped him with her way.

The last 10-20 % had the most action and I am happy to say that I found out about Sophia before Damien or Nikki did. It turns out that Damien has even more secrets and hasn't revealed all of his story to Nikki.

Nikki and Damien have a passionate relationship and nothing is missing. They have their ups and their downs but it's mostly ups. I could not see them with anyone else but the other. It simply wouldn't work.

Complete reminded me strongly of FSoG. The heroine sacrificing their relationship for his good, the crazy ex, the paint on the car and the whole book had a shade-ish air around it. For me it's not a con. I love the other trilogy too.
