The day I lost my best friend was the day I
realized that I'd been living in the past. I've tried to find a way to heal, to
mend that break. Somehow, I came through it partially whole. But I know I
couldn't have done that without Aiden Connolly.
The problem is, he once loved my best friend.
And now she's gone, and I refuse to be in that shadow, or worse, a replacement
for someone we both loved.
~~
I left them all behind.
My brother.
My family.
My best friend.
And her.
Only Sienna Knight doesn't realize what she
means to me. But before I can make sure she knows, I need to figure out exactly
what that is.
Review:
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Each book in the Fractured Connections is supposed to be a stand-alone novel, but I have the feeling that it's better if you read the books in order. I felt like I was missing a crucial part of the story for most of the book and I think if I had read book 1 (aka Breaking Without You) which includes the funeral of the person that broke these people I would have understood a little better the feelings of the main characters.
Sienna and Aiden spend a lot of time feeling guilty for many things. Sienna mostly for wanting Aiden for so many years, while he belonged to her friend. The majority of the story is spent on these two been awkward around each other and one part of the reason they acting like that is explained later in the book. I have a feeling that this book would have been a 5-star reading if I was a little more familiar with the backstory. As the story progressed we found out many things for these characters and they made me understand them better and made the transition from Aiden dating Sienna's friend to the two of them becoming a couple easier to accept, considering that there is a ghost between them.
So in the end, I can say that I liked Falling With You. Even with the feeling that I was missing something, I was engrossed to the story and I felt a lot of emotions. Diego was a cute addition to the story and he won me over. The other cats were also a plus. I would recommend the book.
