BEAUTY AND
THE PROFESSOR is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.
Once upon a
time there was a beautiful college student...
Erin cleans
Mr. Morris's house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier
intimidates her, but she can't help but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks
in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual
feelings.
And a
beastly professor with scars he can't hide...
Blake
Morris knows he's scarred both inside and out. He's reclusive and surly.
Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his
house.
He receives
an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his
chance to reenter the world--and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He
never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.

Review:
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
The beauty and the beast is the first book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet by Skye Warren. It's not a stand-alone and it ends with a cliffhanger, so I was very happy that I already had the second book in my kindle when I finished this one. I like Skye Warren's books, but this one made me feel like there was too much sex and not so much plot. Also, the beginning was a little abrupt and rushed. I barely knew the characters and they jumped onto the bed very early in the book. It felt like they were doing in in every single chapter and that took away something from the reading experience for me. Both characters have issues they need to work on and I hope we will see that happening in the second book. Blake is the beast in this story as his face is disfigured, which made him reclusive. Erin is also insecure and in a small part, her decisions were based on what her mother had gone through in the past. Both of them were uncertain about what the other wanted and they were doubting themselves. Overall the book was good and the story was interesting. My final rating is 4 stars because as I mentioned above, I was turned off by all the horizontal dance.
