Review:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Second chance romances are not usually my thing and I tend to avoid them. Since I am a fan of Kaylee Ryan though, I wanted to give this book a try. I was very pleased to find out that neither the hero or the heroine had slept with anyone else over their 3-year separation. You don't find this kind of plot in many books these days and it is one of the book's stronger points. I loved it when authors don't go with the flow (unless they kill one of the 2 main characters, then I hate it). What I didn't like so much was all the time that Collins was just avoiding Grady and was refusing to let him it. I am usually all in when it comes to heroines standing up for themselves and not taking the hero back after one look, but I wasn't a fan of it happening for half the book. Grady knew from the very first time they got together that he and Collins are meant to be together and that's why he chose not to sleep with anyone else. Collins had every right to be mad at him for leaving her as he did and I understood why she kept him at arm's length. I would have done the same. After they got together they were great, I was loving the story even more and overall I was very satisfied with the book. Brady is persistent and he is back to win his lady over and nothing can stop him. Not even the fact that he is dating his best friends sister. And speaking of said brother, some of his words made me think that he knew long before they revealed everything that these two were together, even after we were told that he didn't. Overall, I was very happy with the book and I would recommend it.
