Blog tour: Loving in the Light (Dating Trilogy #3) by Alexandria Bishop

THE DATING TRILOGY is finally COMPLETE! Read the entire series from beginning to end now!

About DATING IN THE DARK

Call center girl by day and...this is the part where I say I do something super mysterious and exotic by night. Yeah not so much. With the big 3-0 looming its ugly head around the corner my best friend and my married and very pregnant sister have decided that I need a life. One that includes the opposite sex. Or else continue on, and become the old spinster they say I am. It was all in jest until they set me up with a blind date. Literally. Speed dating. In the dark. With a stranger. What were they thinking? Fifteen minutes, that’s all you get to find the man of your dreams. Oh yeah, that’ll go over about as well as a nun in a strip club. Playing along might not be so bad. Besides, what's the worst that could happen? It's not like I’ll actually end up falling in love.

Review:

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

I wasn't a big fan of this book. I hated the pace and the weird way the story was told. I am used to stories that are told in the third person and this narrative just threw me off. I had forgotten that I wasn't a big fan of the series for this reason and I wanted to see what happened after the cliffhanger of the second book and in the end was disappointed. For one, at some point, I started thinking that Tinley would end up with another man and Marek would die because we spend a lot of time without Marek in this book and Tinley gets flirty with another man. We find out what's Marek's fate after half of the book has passed and that didn't make me happy and it's the reason I had a problem with the pace. We spend 60% of the book wondering where he is and what he is doing, only to have the next 40% to fix everything and end the story in a good way, which made everything seem rushed and I was not ok with that.   If the trilogy was a duology, it might have worked better in my opinion. Most of the book was unnecessary to me and I would have liked a story where is mostly about the wedding preparations and working out the mechanics of having already a child in the family, having one on the way and the work problems Tinley seemed to face. After finishing the trilogy, I can say that I wouldn't recommend it because of this book.

About SINKING IN THE SHADOWS

The Dating Trilogy continues with Sinking in the Shadows... She wasn’t looking for love. She wasn’t looking for a happily ever after. But Dating in the Dark gave her both. Or so she thought. Now with a broken heart and an unexpected surprise she doesn’t know if she’ll ever find her way back to both again. Sinking in the Shadows is the second book in The Dating Trilogy and should be read after Dating in the Dark. Tinley and Marek’s story concludes in Loving in the Light.
