Transcend, an all new romance filled with love in unexpected places from Jewel E. Ann is LIVE!
“In another life, she was my forever.”
An unexpected tragedy leaves Professor Nathaniel Hunt a widower alone with a newborn baby.
He hires a nanny. She’s young, but well-qualified, with a simple life, a crazy name obsession, and a boyfriend she met at the grocery store.
Over time, he discovers she knows things about him—things that happened before she was born—like a hidden scar on his head, his favorite pizza, and how he cheated on a high school Spanish test.
She speaks familiar words and shares haunting memories that take him back to over two decades earlier when he lost his best friend in a tragic accident.
“I’m afraid of what’s going to happen when you realize I’m not her.”
Transcend is a sexy, mind-bending journey that uncovers possibilities, challenges beliefs, and begets the age-old question: is there life after death?
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Here is a thing you should know about this book before you read it. Swayze has a boyfriend and he is not Nate. His name is Griffin and he is actually a good guy. I really liked him and I am rooting for him. He was a good person and he loves Swayze. I felt bad for him because he is trying to compete with the past and a love that didn't have the best ending. Swayze's behavior changes as she spends more and more time with Nate and his baby daughter. She is bonding with them and she is neglecting Griffin which was unfair to him. I hated her a little for that. I am honestly trying to be more understanding because she is a good person who is trying to do the right thing, but I can't forgive her for forgetting Griffin's birthday and acting like she did. The story is told mostly from her point of view and a little bit from Nate's. I hope that's not a sign that Nate is the man for her. I want them to have a closure if there is indeed life after death and then staying friends while they move on with their lives. Fortunately, the second book will be released soon and I will get some answers. This book doesn't end with a major cliffhanger. It's rather mild and it wasn't a bad thing for me. The book was good and I was drawn into the story. The characters were flawed, but they were human after all and it just added to the story. I can't wait to see how the story of Swayze, Griffin and Nate will end!
P.S. As far as love triangles go, this wasn't bad I liked the book despite my hate for love triangles.

About Jewel E. Ann
Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.
After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.
When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.
