A one-night stand with James Ryne, the hottest actress in LA, was a night I’d never forget…
James: I can’t stop thinking about you.
Brett: I didn’t know America’s sweetheart was such a dirty girl.
James: It gets better.
Brett: You’re too young for me.
James: Eighteen’s the age of consent.
Brett: The things I want to do to you right now…
James: Are you ever going to tell me who you really are?
Brett: The best you’ve ever had. That’s all you need to know.
James: When are you coming back to LA?
Brett: Next week—and you’d better not be wearing panties.
Brett: What the hell did I just watch?
James: Oh my God, Brett! It’s going viral!
James: My life is ruined. My career. My reputation.
James: Are you there?
James: Will you let me explain?
James: Brett?
Brett: Forget everything I said before. Forget us.
I tried to forget her…until she walked into my office, begging to get signed.

Review:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

I have settled on 3.5 stars for this book. It wasn't bad, but I didn't like the hero. He was very harsh on James and he said so bad stuff to her without letting her explain and he kept on making assumptions. I am not on board with heroes like that (or heroines). He acted poorly and I didn't warm up to him James was a good person who didn't deserve what she got and I was very happy to see that things got settled and everything was going on great. I want to see more of her in the next book I am pretty sure there is going to be a good which will be connected to the series. After all, Brett is not alone in his company and has 3 other people who own it. I am also hoping for a better hero. The heroine can be as likable as James was. She did nothing wrong in this book and yet she had to go through a lot.

Excerpt:
Her body was leaning into mine, shivering from the air-conditioning vent blowing right above her. I pointed the air in the opposite direction, and my other hand went into her hair, pulling her face toward mine.
“A couple of miles,” I hissed against her lips, parting them for me.
The cranberry juice she’d mixed with her vodka tasted so fucking sweet on her tongue. If she gave me any more of it, I was going to shred her dress right here, dip my face between her legs, and lick her cunt.
Fuck, I couldn’t wait to taste that pussy and see if it was as sweet as the juice.
This driver needed to step on it.
I wasn’t a patient man.
As if she sensed that, she pulled back just a little, and I bit into her bottom lip, holding it, tugging it, before I said, “I’m going to fucking devour you.” Finally releasing her, I turned my attention to her neck, smelling, kissing, gnawing the skin that led to her ear.
“Oh my God,” she groaned, and she tried to slide her fingers through the slots between the buttons of my shirt.
She went lower, brushing back and forth across my cock, and that was when I shackled her wrists in my hand.
“Please,” she whined.
“You’re going to get it all fucking night; don’t you worry.”
We pulled into the front of my high-rise and came to a stop, and I opened the back door.
“I’ve got it, sir,” the driver said.
“I’m good,” I replied, sliding James into my arms and carrying her out.
The doorman didn’t greet me by name, a sign that he was new, but held the door open for us, and I took us through the lobby and into the elevator.
James’s tongue traced the outline of my ear as I pressed the button for my floor and settled us against the back wall.
“Make it hurry,” she breathed.
My thoughts were the same.
When we got to my floor, I rushed us down the short hallway and waved my fob over the reader. It clicked as it unlocked, and I brought us into the bedroom, setting James on her feet right by the bed.
I stood in front of her and said, “Turn around.”
I waited until her back faced me, and then I kissed across it while I lowered the zipper at the same time. She turned again when I was done, and she let the dress fall to the floor.
The only thing she wore now was the pair of black heels.
No bra, no panties.
I leaned back to admire her body. She had tits that were no bigger than my palms, nipples that were small and hard, and a bare pussy with the sweetest fucking clit at the top.
“Jesus Christ,” I moaned. She went to take the heels off, and I said, “Hell no. Keep them on.”
I looped my finger into the Windsor knot and pulled it loose. Before I had it off, James fisted both ends of my tie and used them to pull me toward her. The movement caused my lips to slam against hers, and the tie slithered down my chest, followed by the buttons from my shirt that she had torn apart.
She wanted my cock.
She was getting my tongue first.

Shade’s Lady: A Reapers MC Novella by Joanna Wylde

Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me. Or maybe not. Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me. Right from the first.

Fighting for Flight by JB Salsbury

Liberated from the neglectful home of her prostitute mother, she finds solace as a mechanic. With few friends, she’s content with the simple life. Jonah trades in his bad-boy reputation and puts his heart on the line. But when her father contacts her, setting in motion the ugly truth of her destiny, Jonah must choose.

Every Dark Nights tale is breathtakingly sexy and magically romantic.

Review:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Rock Chick: ( 3 stars) I wasn't the biggest fan of this book, but I adored the epilogue! It almost brought tears to my eyes, because it was a great end to Daisy and Marcus's story. This is my first book in the Rock Chick series, so I have no idea where these two fit in the series. I didn't feel a connection to them as the readers who had requested this story, but I hope they are happy with what they got. Marcus was an amazing hero. I don't see him as a bad guy. He was so classy and kind to Daisy. He was so understanding and supporting without losing his alpha maleness. I loved the guy even in the rest of the story didn't work for me as much. I wasn't able to connect with Daisy as much as I wanted to, but I felt sorry for her and everything she went through.

Adoring Ink (5 stars): Adoring ink is the story of Holly and Brody. Both characters are known to the readers, so I am not going to introduce them. I liked Holly once she broke up with Jake and I was quite happy she was going to get a story. To be honest, I don't remember Brody and I am not even sure if I had the chance to meet him., so technically for me he was a brand new character. Brody and Holly were a great couple, but I didn't feel like they were great one and I felt like they could be a couple that comes together in a subplot. There was something about them that didn't click for me and while I liked that Holly found someone I wasn't excited about the possibility of these two getting together. That's what threw me off the book and I wasn't able to like it as much as I had liked the other books in the series. I wasn't disappointed by the book, but I didn't feel like the main couple was meant to be the main couple in a book. I don't know if you can understand that, but I don't have any other words to explain it. I would recommend the book because even if I had this tiny problem, it was quite enjoyable.

Sweet rivalry (4 stars): I liked this story. I was super short for me and I have no idea when I began the book and when I ended it. It was good, but I wanted something more from Harper and Ryder. I felt like they didn't have many opportunities to romance each other. It was rushed and that took something from the good experience I had with this story. I liked Harper, but Ryder was better because he did the right thing and he fought for Harper when she was wronged. It was a good story and my second favorite in the bundle.

Shade's Lady (1 star): I don't know how I was able to finish the story. I didn't like the main characters and I was more invested in Hannah's romance with the cop. If this book is any indication about the rest of the series is mapped out, then I don't want to read them. Shade was an a-hole and Mandy was thinking not with her brain, but with her hormones. The "hero" traded one of his bikes for 2.5k dollars and a night with Mandy, so basically to him, she was a piece of meat worth 500 dollars. Harper is thinking of breaking up with her cheating boyfriend, but as soon as he promises some horizontal dance she decides to put that off, only to end up almost sleeping with Shade a few hours later while still having a boyfriend. Again, she is great heroine material. Not. As if that wasn't enough Shade is talking about sleeping with other women when Mandy refuses to do anything with him and I cannot say that he didn't do anything. I don't trust him.

About the 1001 Dark Nights Bundle Authors: Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. Nothing’s changed. Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born. Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.
New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love. She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California. On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled).

Review:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Hold on tight is the second book in the man of the month series by J. Kenner. I would recommend to skip the first book and begin this one if you haven't read the first book already. I was a little hesitant to begin reading this book because of my bad experience with the previous book and second chance romances are not my thing. Fortunately, things weren't very bad and the characters had an not so bumpy journey. I did feel like a plot wasn't needed and we could have gone on just fine without it. I liked Brooke, she was a good heroine and I couldn't help but be on her side from the very first chapter. Spencer, on the other hand, was never on my good side. Every time he and Brooke made some kind of progress, he would do something to piss me off and ruin things. I totally understood Brooke's hesitation to reveal everything to him and it made me mad to see him say that she didn't trust him and stuff like that. Again, the man of the man wasn't deserving of the lady of the month. He did a better job than Reece, so for me, this book is better. I hope that Cam will save the day in his book and things will work out for him and Mia better. Also, their genre (in love with best friends sister) is one of my favorites and I believe in J. Kenner.

A Touch of Cinnamon by Bethany Lopez

(Three Sisters Catering, #2)

Synopsis:

For the past year, Tasha has thrown herself into her catering business with her sisters, but she’s been keeping a secret. The hot, moody owner of Prime Beef is the man she left behind in college...the man she thought she’d never see again. He’s also the only man she’s ever loved. For the past year, Jericho Smythe has been waging a war with himself. Does he want to know why Natasha broke his heart and left without looking back? Hell yes. But he’s paralyzed by the glimpses he’s gotten of her at Three Sisters Catering and he hasn’t been ready for a confrontation.

Neither of them are content with their lives, but so much has happened since those stolen moments in college. Can the right amount of spice remind them of the love they once shared? A Touch of Cinnamon may be all they need to give Tasha and Jericho back the richness they’ve been lacking.

Review:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

A Touch of Cinnamon is the second book in the Three Sisters Catering series and also happens to be a second chance romance. I have to say that is one of my favorites in this genre because it wasn't filled with drama and the flashbacks were good and not tiring. Tasha and Jericho were in a relationship when they were back in college, but Tasha's mom was sick and she had to return to her hometown to help and she was afraid of her feelings for Jericho so she had 2 reasons for leaving him, without even saying goodbye. Jericho was still in love with her when he decided to build a life to the town Tasha was living in. He still is. And so is Tasha even though they won't admit it and they are just awkward with each other when they see each other. Both of them weren't able to move on (fun fact: both of them were celibate the whole time), but finally, at some point in this book they decide to give their relationship a second chance and everything started to run smoothly for them.

I loved the book. In the beginning, I was worried about the flashbacks and the years they were separated, but everything worked out perfectly in this book and I finished the book with a smile which is why I am giving the book a nomination for my top ten reads of 2018. Jericho was a great hero and he made me swoon. He showed how much he loved Tasha instead of just telling her as many heroes do these days. He found their perfect home and build the life they said they wanted, so how could I not love him? He was amazing and unlike many others, he trusted Tasha in the end instead of believing that she would leave him again.

The next book in the series is probably going to be the last unless there is a sister I don't know about and I am very curious about that book. It's Dru's story and for almost all the story I thought her hero would be Mick, but is there a chance for Hector? I want a confirmation on who is going to be the hero because something about Hector having the moves and Mick not dating a client is bothering me. I liked the idea of Mick and Dru and I don't want to see it ruined.

Overall, this book was good and I would recommend it. The hero is amazing and the heroine was also good despite her behavior when she was in college.

Re-released in a second edition with new scenes. Jack and Sam married Abby. It was supposed to be for forever, but lately Abby wonders where her alpha male has gone. Jack has retreated and life has become decidedly vanilla. It isn't the true marriage she and Sam wanted. Sam and Abby know the time has come to fight for what they need. A call from his mentor forces Jack to revisit the club where he discovered his sexuality. Jack's halfbrother is in the city and interested in a little blackmail. Can Jack handle two defiant subs and a brother in need of some tough love? Sometimes all it takes to find the way home is a little love and a lot of mischief. Come back to the beginning and revisit some of your favorite old characters or find new ones to love. Siren in the City has been revised and new scenes added. And if you look closely, you’ll find not only the beginnings of the Sophie Oak world, but also the seeds of how McKay-Taggart began…

Review:

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

Siren in the City was a disappointment for me. I didn't want to read a book where half of it is Sam and Abby spending their time together while Jack was away. 30 pages into the book I realized two things. A) Jack is my favorite part of the trinity and b) I came close to hating the book. I skipped most of it until the trinity became the trinity I knew and loved from book one. I am not a fan of series featuring the same couple because the drama is always there and I was happy to find out that the next book will have a different trinity. I liked Lucas. At first, he seemed like an a-hole, but he was just a puppy who needed love. I can't wait for his book even if it's going to be published later this year (at least I hope we will get it in 2018). Ian was the best thing that happened in this book! I love that man and it was so much fun seeing him here.

The story cannot be read as stand alone because it's the continuation of Jack, Abby and Sam's story, so you will have to read the first book too, if you want to dive into the series. Personally, I would say skip the book and go the next one, but each on his own. I kept postponing the writing of this review because I didn't like the book and when I sat down to say a few words everything I didn't like about it came into my mind and it was bad.
Excerpt:

“Are we done, Julian? I would like to take my subs upstairs. It’s time I had a long talk with them.” She held her breath as Leo stepped forward.
“I’m not done.” He stood in front of Jack, going toe-totoe with him.
“I’m the Dom in residence now, Master Jack. I know that used to be your job, but you’re a guest now. Had two subs caused the trouble yours did tonight, what would you have requested then?” Jack’s jaw tightened. “I would have immediately requested punishment. Julian would have wanted punishment for disrupting the scenes, but I would have requested punishment for the insult to me.” Leo nodded. “They both will pay for abusing Master Julian’s trust. I want her to pay for the insult to me.” The hand on the back of her neck tightened almost painfully, and Abby decided not to argue. “What insult?” Jack asked. Leo’s eyes skimmed over her. She watched from beneath her lashes. “She started everything. I was attempting to watch over Master Julian’s possession. She questioned my authority over Sally in public. She proceeded to ignore direct orders given to her for her own protection. Though the male is the one who fought, I understand and forgive his actions. He was protecting her. He’s your partner?” There was not an ounce of condemnation in the Dom’s question. He was merely attempting to outline the relationship.
“We share our wife. But I am the head of the household.”
“Well, your wife is topping from the bottom,” Leo accused. “I can’t let the rest of the subs see her get away with it. Twenty tonight, over my knee, right now.” The hand came off her neck and she heard a sigh. His voice was low, and she couldn’t stand the defeated sound of his reply. “We’ll be out of here in an hour. Julian, I’m sorry. Consider my membership revoked. Come along, Abigail. Sam, I expect you to pack whatever you need and meet us in the lobby.” “No!” She reached for his hand. Jack did business with the members of this club. It meant something to him. It was the whole reason she wanted to come here. She wanted to see this side of him. It had been the first place he’d called home. Now she would be the reason he lost it. Jack growled at her. She kept her head down, but she couldn’t keep quiet. “Please, Jack. Please don’t. I couldn’t live with it. I’ll do whatever he asks. I can handle it. Please don’t let this happen.” His hand found her chin again, and his expression was softer now. “Abigail, he could hurt you.” “Nothing will hurt me more than knowing I did this to you.” She could feel the tears streaming down her face. “Please?” He forced her to look him straight in the eyes, his gaze steady. “I will never allow another man to put his hands on you like that. Do you understand me? I don’t care what you’ve done or what their rules are. I only trust Sam. This relationship is between the three of us. I won’t let anyone else in, not even for a moment, no matter what it costs me. All right?” Though it hurt her heart, she knew he wouldn’t move. She nodded. “Leo, I wonder if you would indulge me.” Julian’s voice cut through her misery. “If Jackson administers the punishment, will you be satisfied? He’s serious. He will leave and not come back rather than allow you to touch her. It will more than likely cost me a friendship I would prefer not to lose.” The slight incline of the dungeon master’s head indicated his assent. “But I expect him to take this seriously. It’s obvious to me he has no control over his subs. He needs to reestablish control or allow them their freedom so they can find more appropriate Masters.” “How about you let me worry about my wife and my partner and you keep your hands off of her.” Jack took a threatening step toward the other man. “Don’t think I don’t see the way you look at her. You don’t want to punish her. You want to get your hands on her. It’s not going to happen while I’m still breathing. Get me a chair.” Jack hauled her up and she let him. If this was what it took, she could handle it. Hell, a part of her was already soft and wet. Deep down it was what she had hoped for. She glanced around at the crowd of people watching while Jack was brought a chair. They were going to watch him spank her. She hadn’t really hoped for this part. She felt her skin flush as they watched her. Julian and Leo seemed particularly interested, but Sally’s head was up, too. There was a strangely familiar face in the back. He had black, fashionably tousled hair and wore trendy clothes. He was young, but he watched the scene before him with a fascination that was hard to miss. An older man in a suit, however, stood right behind the young man, and his disdain shone on his pinched face. It took her back to a time when she saw that look on a lot of people’s faces. She felt seventeen again, with the contempt of her hometown all around her. She’d been young and pregnant, and they’d called her a whore. “Abigail.” Jack’s voice brought her back to reality. He sat on one of the office chairs from the horny ad execs scene. “Come here.” She turned away from the man with the disgusted expression. The rest of the room didn’t seem shocked at what was about to happen. They were excited. A thrill went through her. Screw the guy in the back. She wasn’t going to let people like that affect her anymore. She walked to Jack and let him pull her over his lap. Her pussy throbbed in anticipation. Her mouth went dry as Jack’s big hands stroked up her legs and began to push her skirt up. She was suddenly glad she’d fought Sam on her choice of underwear. He’d pushed for a thong, but she was eager to wear the cute silk bikinis that matched her corset. Now it would give her a bit of modesty. “What the fuck?” Jack fingered the underwear. “Since when do I allow you to wear panties? Get me a knife.” So much for modesty. She felt a touch of metal as Jack cut the super-expensive underwear off her body. She watched them fall to the side. “You’re just running wild aren’t you, baby?       NY Times and USA Today bestselling author Lexi Blake lives in North Texas with her husband, three kids, and the laziest rescue dog in the world. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Unlocking Fear is the first book in the Keys to love series and is not completely stand-alone. The next book will feature a different couple, but the whole killer plotline is still unresolved. In this book, we just dived deeper into the story, but we don't know half the truth yet. I am ok with that though. At least the couple got a happy ending and we will see them more in the book I hope. At this point, I think it's best to wait for all the books to be released before you begin the series, especially if you are curious.

Noah and Reece were a good couple. They had good chemistry and they worked well together. I liked both of them. The book is a good beginning for the series and it gets the reader into the setting of the small town without overwhelming the reader and just giving the right amount of information. I enjoyed the book and I'll keep an eye on the next books because I don't want to miss the story. I would recommend it.

Review:

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I have no idea why I gave 4 stars to this book instead of the 5 I thought I did. I think this is the way my brain chose to tell me that the book wasn't perfect, but I still enjoyed reading it. I liked the book. When I think of it while trying to write this review I remember the wooden penguin that's missing, Kylie's bad choices of outfits when she didn't want to be recognized and her dog, which sounded adorable despite the snoring. The book had a lot of great moments and I was very happy when I was reading it.

My favorite character is going to be Kylie. She is feisty, smart and the kind of person that I would like to have into my life. She is a great heroine who doesn't complain and doesn't think she can do everything on her own when that is not true. She acted perfectly in this book and she now has a spot in my heart. All the characters that appear in this book (with the exception of a couple) made me feel like I was a part of their cycle because they were already familiar to me through the previous books and I liked seeing them again.

I know it's bad, but I enjoyed the way the villain tormented Kylie. I don't know why, but I couldn't be mad at the person who was staging those photographs. If a friend of Kylie's did this for fun I might have even laughed and that's the reason why I am a bad person. I loved the penguin's ending though. It was a very sweet scene. The rest of the book was light-hearted and sometimes funny.

In the end, the book is good. Joe might not have been the greatest hero, now that I think about it, but he was at least on my good side. I think he might be the reason behind the absence of the 1 star. Anyway, the book was good and I enjoyed it, so I would recommend it. It can be read as stand alone, so don't worry about having to read the other books first.

It wasn’t until the front door closed behind Ivan that the reality of her situation sank in. Dmitri was furious. He might have faked it for his friend, but he stood next to her, a pillar of stone with anger coming off him in waves. His grip on her elbow didn’t hurt, but if she’d tried to leave, he would have restrained her.
She should be afraid. She should be terrified.
Keira’s heartbeat picked up, adrenaline kicking in. She swung to face him with a fierce smile on her face. “You didn’t compliment me on my dress.” It was a work of fucking art. She smoothed her free hand over her hip and up her side. “Actually, you called me a high-class sex worker. Is that any way to speak to your beloved wife?”
His gray eyes followed the movement, a muscle ticking in his jaw when she cupped her breast. “I meant it when I said you’re playing with fire.”
That wasn’t just anger on his face now. No, it was rapidly being overtaken by sheer lust. An answering feeling sent a bolt straight to her core. She stepped back, and he released her instantly. A strange feeling coursed through her, straightening her spine and making her want to laugh out loud. Power. This is what power feels like.
He wanted her. He wanted her so badly, he had his hands clenched at his sides to keep from touching her again. But he wouldn’t until she gave the green light. Keira took another step back. “I have a hypothetical question.”
Ask.” His voice was rough. The way he watched her made her feel like prey, and she liked it far more than she should—because she wasn’t prey. Keira had her own teeth and claws, and Dmitri would learn that as time went on.
Hypothetical, if I said yes tonight…how do you imagine that would go?”
He stared at her a long moment. “Nyet. I’m not playing this game with you.” She blinked and he was on her, one hand snaking around to press against the exposed small of her back, the other tangling in her hair. “We are not children, moya koroleva. These games don’t become us.”
He kissed her. There was no cautious exploration or easing into it. Dmitri kissed her like a conquering warlord who was sure of his welcome because he owned everything in the room—including her. There was no fighting this. She didn’t even want to try. Keira slid her arms around his neck and pressed herself more firmly against him. His cock was a hard length with too many layers between them. She rolled her hips, an invitation she wasn’t sure she was ready to follow through on.
Dmitri slid his hand down to cup her ass, guiding her movements. Long slides up the length of his cock and back down again. The stupid goddamn dress kept her from spreading her legs wider, from getting him exactly where she needed him. Her nipples rubbed against his shirt, the silk incredibly decadent across her sensitized skin.
Keira. Moya koroleva.” He kissed down her jawline, tilting her head back until she had to arch her spine to accommodate the position. “Did you enjoy their eyes on you? Ivan’s. The men who owe allegiance to me. Anyone who cared to look.”
It took her desire-drugged brain a beat to catch up, but by then he was already growling out more words against her skin. “Did it make you feel powerful to know they were imagining stroking the nipples you flash with such impunity?” He moved his hand from her ass to do exactly that, dragging a finger over her puckered nipple. “They wanted the body you so proudly put on display.” His voice roughened. “They wanted what’s mine.”
Say something. If you don’t say something right now, you’re going to give in tonight and then it will all be over.
He moved his hand to her back and bent her until she relied solely on his strength to keep her off the ground. And then Dmitri’s wicked, wicked mouth closed around her nipple. The weight of the beaded design seemed heavier with his tongue flicking the engorged bud, making his touch that much hotter. She couldn’t hold back a moan as he moved to her other breast.
Dmitri dragged his mouth up the center of her chest, the only part of her not caged in the dress, stopping at the thick collar. He flicked the hollow of her throat with his tongue. “This is my favorite part of the dress.” He ran his thumb over it. “This, more than anything else, marks you as mine.”
A collar for a kept pet.
It was as if he’d doused her in icy water. Keira went rigid and shoved Dmitri away. She almost fell when he released her, but she regained her balance at the last second. They stood mere feet apart, breathing hard and staring at each other. I am no one’s pet. She slashed her hand through the air. “I might be your wife, Russian, but I’m not yours. I’ll never be yours.”
