This rancher has nothing to hide… Or does he? Only from USA TODAY bestselling author Joanne Rock.

Will he give her answers…

or tempt her to his bed?

Helping Nicole Cruz discover who fathered her orphaned nephew draws ranch and casino owner Desmond Pierce into the cruel legacy of secrets he’d rather avoid. Also unavoidable: the red-hot attraction sizzling between them. But the faster Nicole gets the answers she came for, the sooner she’ll leave Mesa Falls. And that’s suddenly a prospect more daunting than any scandals they may uncover…

From Harlequin Desire: Luxury, scandal, desire—welcome to the lives of the American elite.

Review:

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

The Heir is the 6th and final book in the Dynasties: Mesa Falls series by Joanne Rock. I don't think that the book should be read as stand-alone because I felt like I was missing on things the whole time I was reading the book. I was disconnected from the story and I couldn't warm up to it, to be honest. There were some interesting parts, I will admit that, but even that wasn't able to capture my attention. Desmond didn't do much for me as the hero of the novel and Nicole was lukewarm. I am sorry to say this, but I truly just felt distant from the story and the characters.
