Author Bio:
Every time I think of this book the worlds sweet and I loved it follow. I can't describe the book. It captivated me from the beginning and I am waiting for the second book (which I heard is going to be full-length). It had the romance I needed in a healthy dose. Finally has a realistic romance for me. It seemed like something you could see in real life. It's a novella so wanting character development is a little out of the question because in 76 pages (in kindle version, 56 in B&N) you can't expect much. When I finished it I thought I had more to read and i wanted to throw my e-reader because I didn't want the story to stop. I wanted to see what will happen next and how Marcus and Lauren will face what is up next.
Scarlett lives in the Midwest with her family. When she's not busy
writing steamy stories, she can be found with her nose in a book, camping, or
geocaching with her family. She loves Diet Coke, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and
80's hair bands.

Marcus’s POV
I pushed the elevator
button. As we stood there waiting, I looked down at her. Her eyes were dark
with desire and I moved towards her for a kiss when the elevator dinged and the
doors opened.
I walked, practically
dragging her in along with me. “What floor?” she asked me.
“Eight,” I murmured,
studying her. I had the urge to undo her hair on top of her head and run my
fingers through it.
She reached out and pressed
the button for the eighth floor. I waited for the doors to close before I moved
swiftly and pinned her against the wall. “I’ve waited a long time for this,
Lauren. I’m not going to wait anymore.” I said before kissing her hard. She
moaned softly into my mouth and pressed her soft body into me. I circled my
hips just a little, rubbing the evidence of my arousal against her leg. My
tongue teased hers as her arms snaked up around my neck, leaning against the
elevator wall with a hand on each side of her, trapping her.
We continued to kiss as I
reached up to release her hair. I’d been dying to touch it from the moment I
met her two years ago and nothing was going to stop me now. I buried my fingers
in it and pulled her head back so my lips had better access to her neck. They
moved over her skin slowly, almost torturing her as they licked, sucked, and
bit her sensitive flesh. She let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes. My other
hand moved up her bare thigh, sliding underneath her skirt. When I reached the
apex of her thighs, I growled softly into her neck. She wasn’t wearing anything under her skirt.
“Why didn’t you tell me
earlier you weren’t wearing panties?” I whispered roughly into her ear, my lips
on her skin. “I would’ve dragged you out of there much sooner.”
She whimpered and opened
her mouth to respond when the elevator dinged again. She was panting against me
as the doors opened.
“Come on,” I said as I
grabbed her hand and led her down the hall.
