Tempting Tristan:Tristan Brewer Harborside Nights #3 by Melissa Foster
Date of Publication: October 19, 2016
Blurb
Tempting Tristan is a stand-alone M/M romance featuring two sexy, lovable alpha heroes.
TRISTAN AND ALEX
Fresh off the heels of yet another bad relationship, Tristan Brewer is taking a break from men to try to figure out where he keeps going wrong. He knows his biggest fault—he leads with his heart, not his head—and that's never going to change. But after several introspective weeks, he's beginning to get a handle on things. That is, until badass heartthrob Alex Wells walks into his bar...
Alex has spent eight years in the army, months in a hospital bed, and far too long hiding his sexual identity. He's guilt-ridden, damaged, pissed off, and up for a Silver Star for the incident that nearly cost him his life—and kept him from his grandmother's funeral. But all he wants to do is live the life he's always dreamed of and forget his stint with the institution that allows but doesn't necessarily accept.
The chemistry between Tristan and Alex ignites from the moment they meet, and the more time they spend together, the hotter the flames burn. But the closer they become, the more Alex's walls go up, and when the two walk onto a military base, Tristan finds out Alex's physical scars aren't the ones that run the deepest.

Review:
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
I am pointing the obvious here, but I feel like I have to. Tempting Tristan is a love story between two men, so if this isn't your cup of tea do yourself a favor and stay away from the series because I believe this is the only series by Melissa Foster where you can find couples with the same sex. Forgive me if I am wrong. Personally I didn't have a problem, but some of you might. If you get over the fact that two men fall in love in this book you will see that this is a usually Melissa Foster book. That means that the romance between these two is sweet and the reading experience very enjoyable. I might have even shed a couple of tears while reading the book and it was kind of embarrassing since I was in a public place.
I wanted to see Tristan getting the man he deserves after reading what kind of person his ex was and I am quite happy his story was next. I hope the next two books in the series will be released soon because I am in love with all the characters in the series so far. They are a interesting group of people with different and colorful personalities.
The story is mostly about helping Alex shed some of the guilt he was carrying after everything that happened when he was overseas and the loss of his grandmother who also serves as a way to connect these men. Honestly with the kind of problems both men had I would have expected a book with a lot more drama than this book had. I loved the book and I kept trying to read it even when I had other things to do. I wanted to see how Alex and Tristan would get their happy ending.
If you haven't read any of the other two books in the series, don't worry because the book is a stand alone and you don't need to know anything other than what the author chose to share with us in this book. Tempting Tristan is a steamy M/M book, but it's not racy, so if I wanted to introduce someone to the M/M genre this book would be on the list with the books that person should read.
Charley's story is next and I can't wait for it!
